June 10, 2025 – United Kingdom Midea Hiconics, a Midea Group subsidiary specializing in energy conversion, storage, and drive technologies, has partnered with V-TAC, a UK-based provider of smart lighting and renewable energy solutions, to equip 40 newly built homes in the UK with its HiEnergy all-in-one residential energy storage systems. This collaboration showcases a fully integrated sustainable energy solution, combining solar PV, heat pumps and EV chargers.
Each home features a HiEnergy system with 3.68 kW PV input and 5 kWh battery capacity. The system supports up to 3.75 kW of solar input and delivers up to 6 kW of peak AC output. Equipped with dual MPPT trackers, it maximizes solar energy harvest and provides efficient power conversion. The modular battery design offers flexibility with long lifespan and up to 6,000 charge cycles, while IP65-rated protection ensures reliable operation in varied environments. The system switches from grid-connected to off-grid mode in less than 20 milliseconds, providing uninterrupted power supply. Its intelligent energy management platform enables real-time monitoring and remote control, empowering homeowners with actionable insights.
With the development nearing completion, the homes have attracted strong interest from buyers eager for smart, energy-independent living.
